Haik Ter-Nersesyan
Haik is a dedicated personal injury attorney with a unique background in finance, diplomatic policy, and advocacy. Before entering the legal field, Haik spent over 20 years in banking, including 13 years in sales and 7 years conducting complex financial investigations into terrorism financing, sanctions, politically exposed persons, and money laundering. He has worked at the top Wall Street firms in New York City and Chicago. His experience navigating high-stakes financial matters honed his analytical skills and deep understanding of risk assessment—critical assets in fighting for clients’ rights in personal injury cases.
Beyond finance, Haik gained hands-on experience in policy and diplomacy, serving as a Policy Advisor at the Armenian Mission to the United Nations, where he represented Armenia at various UN Committees. Furthermore, he had a Fellowship at an Advocacy Organization where he engaged with members of Congress and Senate to promote constituents’ interests on the Hill. These roles sharpened his ability to negotiate, advocate, and navigate complex regulatory landscapes—skills he now applies in securing justice for injured clients.
Haik has 2 bachelors’ degrees in Political Science and Economics (graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors). He was awarded 3 academic medals for his achievements, including Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society Medal, Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honors Society Medial, and Summa Cum Laude Gold Medal from Northeastern Illinois University.
He earned his Master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), and subsequently earned his Law Degree from City University of New York (CUNY).
A trilingual attorney fluent in English, Russian, and Armenian, Haik brings a strategic, detail-oriented approach to personal injury law. Outside of work, he enjoys trading stocks, playing chess, and staying active with soccer and tennis.

Trial Lawyer
Tara-Jane Ingram Flynn is a Trial Lawyer at Yerushalmi Law Firm who is unapologetic about her fierce dedication to ending the invalidation and silent suffering of injury victims using aggressive deposition and courtroom tactics. With her by their side, families and individuals are empowered to take on even the toughest of opponents who have caused them harm. Nicknamed “Princess Warrior” by a now-retired judge for her relentless determination, tenacity, mental agility, and courage, Ms. Flynn is an invaluable addition to the firm. Her talent for finding the provable lie during her cross examinations at depositions is often the game changing moment in a case when opposing parties switch posture from relentlessly offering zero money and pushing a case to trial to bringing their wallet to the table resulting in justice for clients in the form of a maximum recovery. Trained in the Meisner technique and improvisation, she is adept at developing trial themes and presenting evidence to juries in a way which resonates with them and captivates their attention and sympathy.
Experience
Prior to joining Yerushalmi Law Firm, Ms. Flynn honed her litigation skills for more than twenty years, as trial counsel for several global corporations, as Managing Trial Attorney for a Fortune 500 insurance company, and as a criminal prosecutor in downtown Los Angeles. Additionally, Ms. Flynn volunteered her time as a judge pro tem.
All that changed when Ms. Flynn witnessed the suffering of someone close to her who endured a traumatic brain injury. Through that experience, Ms. Flynn felt the pull of a higher calling in her life, and responded with a dramatic change in her career, shifting from representing the defense to fighting on behalf of the injured.
An innately compassionate person, Ms. Flynn spends time developing relationships with clients to learn about their pre-injury versus post-injury life so she can present that struggle in a deeply moving and effective way. She finds fulfillment through remaining accessible to those in need. Leveraging her robust technical training and substantial legal experience, she enjoys beating the defendants at their own game. A proponent of the truth with a heart of gold, Ms. Flynn believes her purpose is to help others through being their voice: She is their shield and their sword.
Ms.Flynn has been featured as both a co-host and a guest on the 790 AM radio show, “Call for Justice.” Advising younger attorneys just beginning their careers, Ms. Flynn cautions, “Be responsive to clients. The client comes first. Always show respect to judges. Never give the opposite side anything for free. Be aggressive while always remaining civil.”
Education
In 2000, Ms. Flynn obtained her J.D. in Litigation from the University of San Francisco. During her time in law school, Ms. Flynn worked in Geneva, Switzerland at the United Nations Human Rights Commision, where she was honored to speak on “Environmental Degradation and its Impact on Human Rights.” Also during this time, she interned for the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, serving in the felony division.
Ms. Flynn completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1997. While attending UC Berkeley, Ms. Flynn was a member of the Prytanean Honor Society, and interned for the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.
